Physician Lim has practised and taught Traditional Chinese Medicine for close to five decades, with extensive experience in acupuncture, internal medicine, women’s health, paediatrics, chronic conditions, and age-related health concerns.
林汉南高级顾问医师从事中医临床与教学近五十年，擅长针灸痛症，并重视针药配合，治疗内科、妇科、儿科杂病及慢性病症。
Profile
Senior Consultant Physician Ng Cheong Kim graduated from the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1977 and began full-time clinical practice in 1980. With close to five decades of clinical experience, Physician Ng has developed extensive experience in external-contraction and miscellaneous conditions, paediatrics, and in recent years, more complex and chronic conditions including diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and cancer-related supportive care.
His clinical approach places emphasis on identifying the main presenting concern, while integrating traditional Chinese diagnostic reasoning with disease understanding.
Beyond clinical practice, Physician Ng has contributed deeply to TCM education in Singapore. Since 1991, he has served as a clinical tutor and lecturer at the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, teaching subjects including Basic Theory of Chinese Medicine, Chinese Medicine Diagnostics, and Internal Medicine. Since 2017, he has served as Principal Senior Lecturer.
In recognition of his academic and educational contributions, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine appointed Physician Ng as Visiting Professor in 2011.
Physician Ng has also held numerous leadership and governance appointments within Singapore’s TCM community, including senior roles with the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association, Chung Hwa Medical Institution, and the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Following the establishment of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board in 2001, he was appointed Chairman of its Ethical Code and Ethical Guidelines Committee, where he contributed to the development of Singapore’s first ethical code and guidelines for TCM practitioners.
黄种钦高级顾问医师于 1977 年毕业于新加坡中医学院，1980 年起成为全职中医师，至今具备近五十年中医临床经验。黄医师擅长治疗外感杂病、儿科疾病；近年亦关注糖尿病、慢性肾功能衰竭、癌症相关调护等复杂与慢性病症。临床上重视紧抓主症，并强调辨证与辨病相结合。
在教学方面，黄医师亦长期投入中医教育。自 1991 年起，他担任新加坡中医学院临床导师及讲师，先后负责传授中医学基础、中医诊断学、中医内科学等科目，并于 2017 年起担任首席高级讲师至今。
在中医界服务与领导工作方面，黄医师自 1986 年起，历任新加坡中医师公会、中华医院、新加坡中医学院等多个核心职务，并曾参与新加坡中医执业者道德准则及指导原则的编写工作。
Profile
Born in 1948, Senior Consultant Physician Lim Han Nang graduated from the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1977 and began clinical practice in the early 1980s. He served for many years as a physician at Chung Hwa Medical Institution and as a lecturer and clinical instructor at the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine until March 2024.
Physician Lim has held appointments across several TCM institutions, including roles with the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association, Chung Hwa Medical Institution, Chung Hwa Institute of Acupuncture, and the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He has extensive experience in acupuncture for pain conditions, as well as the combined use of acupuncture and herbal medicine for internal medicine, women’s health, paediatrics, chronic conditions, and age-related health concerns.
His approach emphasizes prevention, recovery, constitution, and improving quality of life over time, guided by the principle of preventing illness before it arises, preventing progression once illness occurs, and preventing recurrence after recovery.
林汉南高级顾问医师生于 1948 年，1977 年毕业于新加坡中医学院，并于 80 年代初开始行医，至今具备近五十年中医临床经验。林医师曾长期担任中华医院医师，以及新加坡中医学院讲师与临床指导老师，直至 2024 年 3 月。
林医师曾服务于多个中医机构，历任新加坡中医师公会理事、中华医院药物主任、医务主任、财政负责人、中华针灸研究院秘书、新加坡中医学院临床科主任、针灸学科高级讲师及中医临床实习高级指导老师等职务。
林医师擅长应用针灸治疗各种痛症，也重视针药配合，治疗内科、妇科、儿科杂病及慢性病症。对于老年疾病防治、康复保健与体质调理，亦有多年临证经验。
林医师治病重视“未病先防，既病防变，病后防复”，以人为本，着眼于体质调理、康复恢复与生活质量的改善。
